Pockets and Prospects Fund

The Community Growing Forum has a number of funds up to £500 to distribute to groups growing in their community in areas of economic disadvantage. If you are a constituted growing group with an idea where you know a small spend would make a big difference email, hello@getgrowingscotland. This fund requires a very short application and ‘light touch’ reporting. New applicants will be given priority.

Last years applicants used funds to:

  • build a shelter to support safe outdoor activity during Covid
  • purchase additional equipment to avoid tool sharing in an after school gardening club
  • build and plant raised planters in the village centre
  • employ a sessional worker to provide additional garden sessions to support well being
  • install a secure tool shed in an open site
  • buy quality protective equipment to keep volunteers warm in all weathers!

The Pockets and Prospects Fund is funded by the Scottish Government via the Scottish Community Alliance’s Community Capacity and Resilience Fund. Read more about the Alliance‘s work here.
